Sometimes referred to as "China grass" or "Chinese lawngrass," centipedegrass (Eremochloa ophiuroides) is a slow-growing perennial turfgrass that spreads by stolons (aboveground stems) that resemble centipedes. Its popularity as a home lawn turfgrass is due to its low maintenance requirements and its adaptation to either full sun or partial shade conditions. In this four-page publication you will find descriptions of its characteristics and of different varieties, as well as instructions for establishing, fertilizing, irrigating, mowing, and controlling diseases and pests.
