Pages / Length: 4
Publication Date: 08/10/1997

Damaging nematodes are found in turf soils in all residential, commercial, and recreational settings, with golf course greens and tees as well as sod farms suffering the heaviest damage. Plant parasitic nematodes are recognized as important pests on both warm- and cool-season turfgrasses in Alabam. This four-page publication provides information on the life cycle of nematodes—including the sting and lance nematodes, the two most destructive nematode pests. Includes guidelines and photos for identifying nematode injury, recommendations for control, and tables of nematode pests and nematicides cleared for turf use.
