Several hundred thousand deer are harvested each year in Alabama. Many hunters butcher these animals at home or in hunting camps. Once the edible portions are removed, a hunter is responsible for safely disposing of the remains. This publication provides general guidelines and options for the proper disposal of deer carcasses.
